Snappy Valley

Snappy Valley is a socially engaged, process-led photography collective I founded in Todmorden in 2019. Created to connect local residents through shared creative practice, the group brought together individuals from varied backgrounds to explore photography as a tool for expression, reflection, and community storytelling.

Over time, the group developed a significant body of work, particularly during lockdown, documenting life in this distinctive West Yorkshire town with honesty, humour, and care.

Though I’m no longer involved, Snappy Valley continues today as a peer-led collective, meeting monthly at the Golden Lion.
